Hi, I’m Khadeeja. I recently graduated. Like many people at this stage of life, I’m still discovering my path and learning more about who I want to become. But one thing I have always been certain about is my love for stories. I’ve always wanted to work in the book industry, just somewhere around the books. I have never been a surface-level reader; I’m someone who looks deeper once I finish a book. I want to share my favorite moments, discuss characters, and express every thought that comes to mind.Â

Outside of my love of reading, I enjoy the simple things in life. I love trying delicious food, learning new languages, and exploring cultures. I spend my free time watching K-dramas, C-dramas, and Turkish dramas with my sister and rambling about the story, characters, and scenes. Going for walks, spending time in nature, and taking care of myself has become my new priority. Also, whether it's working out at the gym, building healthy habits, or enjoying skin care. I love becoming a better version of myself little by little.

I’m someone who values independence, ambition, and doing my best in everything I take on. I love learning, improving my skills, and putting genuine effort into my work. While fiction has always been my comfort place, I also enjoy memoirs because they allow me to connect with real people, their experiences, and the emotions behind their journeys.Â

" I've worked with Kaddy another time, and she's one of the rare beta readers that I would rehire. I've worked with a lot of betas that I found in this group, and unfortunately, when I hire them a second time, their quality goes down a lot. I'm not sure if it's because of being swamped with work or if they think that I'll be more lenient since we have an established relationship. I've been left disappointed.
Kaddy's quality NEVER declines. She takes me and my work seriously, even if she's reading it for the tenth time. This past time we worked together, I sent her about 45k words worth of changes I made to my manuscript. I was not expecting over 700 DETAILED in-line comments, especially since this is for a manuscript she has read before.
I feel her commenting has gotten much more thought-provoking and well-thought out. Some others I worked with seem to decline in services because they're burning themselves out. Kaddy seems to be leveling up more and more. I don't know how she does it, but I truly find it impressive, so much I had to write another review for her.
What also impresses me is I can tell she's a genuine reader instead of someone who's doing this just for money. It surprises me how she is able to catch so many tiny details. Not only did she write a 20+ page report on the first draft I sent her, she also proved almost 500 comments on my second draft I sent, showing that she still took it seriously, despite already reading it. She even provided a small critique/report despite me telling her she didn't have to. She answered every single question I sent her in great detail. She is very flexible and adapts to anything you want her to answer, whether it's about intention, plot, characters, confusion etc. She pays attention and made me feel comfortable about my novel's complexity.

And I love that she knows how to separate her developmental editing skills from her beta reading skills! It's so refreshing to get a reader's perspective only. For me, it's much more helpful to get a glimpse into a readers mind rather than having someone scan my book for compliance.
